We want supporters to understand exactly how The Giving Legacy is structured, because transparency is one of our core values.

What "Private Foundation" Means

The Giving Legacy is a 501(c)(3) private foundation funded entirely by our founder, Sam Sharma. Unlike public charities, we do not solicit or accept donations from the general public. This model allows us to focus completely on stewardship and impact rather than fundraising.

Our Commitment to Accountability

Even as a brand-new organization that has not yet made charitable distributions, we are committed to operating transparently from day one:

• Annual Form 990-PF available upon request
• Maximum resources directed to programs, grants, and services
• Full compliance with IRS private foundation regulations
• Annual distribution of at least 5% of assets for charitable purposes
