Let’s talk
01What is The Giving Legacy?
The Giving Legacy is a 501(c)(3) private foundation dedicated to helping people in poverty, supporting social justice causes, and providing faith-based programs focused on Christianity. We plan to serve communities in Florida through direct programs, grants to qualified charities, and community partnerships.
02Who founded The Giving Legacy?
The Giving Legacy was founded by Sam Sharma, a philanthropist who has donated over $1 million to nonprofits including St. Jude's Hospital, Feeding South Florida, and Vous Church. Read about Sam Sharma, founder of The Giving Legacy.
03Can I donate to The Giving Legacy?
No. The Giving Legacy is founder-funded and does not accept outside contributions. We welcome volunteers and community partners who share our mission. If you'd like to support causes we care about, visit our Causes page to learn about the issues we address, or visit our Volunteer page to get involved.
04How can I get involved?
There are many ways to support our mission! You can volunteer your time, spread the word about our work, partner with us as an organization, or join our prayer network. Visit our Volunteer page to learn more.
05Do I need to be a Christian to receive help?
No. We serve all people regardless of their faith background. While we plan to offer faith-based programs for those interested, participation in religious activities is never required to receive assistance.
06How can I request assistance?
If you or someone you know needs help, please contact us through our Contact page. As our planned 2026 programs launch, we will connect you with the appropriate program based on your needs and our capacity.
