Social Justice
Social Justice Initiative
A planned 2026 initiative from The Giving Legacy to study and teach about opportunity, poverty, and equal treatment through education and research in Florida.

Creating Lasting Change Through Education and Research
True transformation requires understanding the systems that perpetuate poverty and inequality. The Giving Legacy's planned Social Justice Initiative for 2026 will create lasting change through education, research, and community empowerment.
Our approach is nonpartisan and focused on human dignity. We plan to research and share educational resources on issues that expand opportunity, protect vulnerable populations—including veterans and military families—and create more equitable systems. We believe that justice is an essential expression of our faith—Scripture calls us to "act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God" (Micah 6:8).
Through planned community education programs, civic education workshops, and partnership with other organizations, we will equip community members with knowledge they can use in their own neighborhoods and beyond.
Our Goals for 2026
- 100 community members trained through educational workshops
- 20 educational workshops on justice issues hosted
- 10 partnerships with educational and research organizations
- 500 community members engaged in civic education
